Thirty years ago, I tasted a piece of English Toffee made by my husband’s godmother, Eileen. It was the most delicious piece of candy, sweet, crunchy and irresistible.  It quickly became an obsession with me.   Soon after, I spent the day in her kitchen watching, learning and completely mesmerized on how just a few simple, but high-quality ingredients can make the most decadent candy.

Over the next few months I tried to recreate the toffee making process. After many failed attempts to count, I eventually got the process down.  The toffee became a requested gift for family, friends, co-workers, teachers and anyone that our family wanted to gift for holidays and special occasions.  Before long, people were asking me to make it for their family and friends too…and now, many years later the start of molly & mags is introduced, named after my two incredibly sweet daughters.
